PA2V2 with my nano setup

To my knowledge, the headphone out, on iPods, go through a pre-amp or amp that is built within the iPod resulting is a poorer sound than the line out (bottom of iPod).

The lineout does not go through the inbuilt amp, so the sound is untouched so to speak, therefore by going untouched into the amp, the amp does its thing for you

Does that make sense? Can anyone confirm whether I am on the right track?

they can be costly, like aloaudio has the bling bling which starts at $55, but yeah, you are right, headphone out = 3.5 to 3.5, and LOD is the ipod dock charging to a 3.5.

there are also people on the forums that make them, my LOD was made by a user called 'stevenkelby' great guy and great product, others like TURBO are also well talked abt. you can also get them from qables, and aloaudio as well.

though remembering i use the LOD --> female and then use my own IC

used to have the same setup cept it was a 1st gen nano
1st gen nano, pa2v2 and ksc75s and pk3s, really cant go wrong.
