hi, just wondering, many people on the forums said the PA2v2 is a bit of a bassy amp and didnt really improve sound quality much

strangely i've felt quite the opposite
i notice the mids are more noticable, the bass is much better (like cleaner? dont really know how to describe it all)
guessing part of this may be due to the headphones - ksc75's when amped

but overall i'm really satisfied with the amp so far, and yes i'm already dreaming of bigger and sadly more expensive amps. but this is a wonderful 1st experience.

just wondering what the general impressions of the Pa2v2, cause i must admit i'm alot more impressed than i thought i would be.

i'm amping a ipod nano 1st gen through a LOD.

G'day.

I use the PA2v2 with my Ipod lineout and KSC-75's as well, and to be honest with you at lower volumes the differences between the iPod's headphone jack and PA2v2 is very very subtle imo, not to mention that there is some channel imbalance at low levels with the PA2v2.

The only reason Why I use it is because I listen to my music loud, and the iPod's headphone jack sounds quite bad at high volumes, unlike the PA2v2 where the level of sound quality gets better as the volume gets louder.

Theres my 2 cents

slightly off topic, but ummmm which ipod do you have?
cause i remember trying a 5g video ipod n remember it sounded quite a fair bit better than my nano, soundstage mostly but still a nice improvement.

I just received my PA2V2 yesterday, my first headphone amp ever. I'm very impressed, my Grado SR80s sound much better from my PC's line-out and even my 1st gen Shuffle benefits a lot. More clarity, detail and better tighter bass. Well worth the paltry asking price.

It is my first HP amp though, so take that with a pinch of noob.

I'm in the same boat as neogoat. I just got my PA2V2 recently and it sounds great to me. I have listened through some higher-end amps that some friends own and they definitely sound better, but for the price, the PA2V2 is definitely awesome. It sounds great through my computer, iPod, and Zune.

my ears have been spoiled by fancier amps, so i dont use pa2v2 to drive my headpones.
however, i hook up pa2v2 and iaudio x5 to my car system. it sounds pretty darn good!!!
i dont think pa2v2 is a bassy amp tho. i've used a cmoy amp, govibe v6, and pa2v2, and pa2v2 had the least bass.
