Hi Guys. I have really big ears .

Which headphones can you safely recommend that will fit completely over the ears for me

I’m currently getting ear infections due to too much headphone use

Doc prefers open ear breathable headphones for me
I have akg k240 mkii open ear
Currently need to source the inside foam disc for it , unsure as to whether the ordinary k240 foam discs can work or not I’m not getting the one that specifies for the mkii . It’s likely the same thing

And the k271 which are closed
AirPods Pro gen1 and now gen 2
Marshall in ear headphones
Monster Beats Solo on ear

Speakers:
Marshall killburn ii
Pair of rokit 6 gen 3
Cowin Dida
Blueme HD Bluetooth receiver or
Normal wired setups

Previously had hd598c
Audio Technica athm50
Bose triports gen one and two
Bose on ear
Bose quiet comfort
Sony v6
Sennheser hd238
Klipsch s4

Looking to get a decent pair of over the ears that won’t squeeze or come into contact with my ears really? Just would fit around completely like the triports did

Just for the next month or so, I gotta get one that won’t aggravate health issues ( open ear and large , no contact directly with ears)

Not sure if I’m an audiophile
I appreciate a nice neutral balanced flat sound signature
I also appreciate consumer style headphones depending on the genre of music I’m listening to
I think I have pretty good ears.
I play 6 instruments by ear , Piano and Acoustic guitar being two major ones

Thanks in advance for any help
Cheers

What kind of budget?

For maximum ear space, Hifiman has pretty much the best in their Edition XS/Ananda/Arya lineup. Extremely large, ear shaped cups that will fit even the biggest ears. The Edition XS, I think, is the cheapest of the bunch at around $240 on their website.

If that's outside of your budget, the Hifiman Deva is $100. It doesn't have the same huge size, but they still accommodate very large ears. I have the HE5XX, which is largely the same headphone, and with gauged ears it was still plenty comfortable.

I have the Hifiman Edition XS and they're huge, same with the Ananda which has the flat comfy headband. The HE5xx is also generous side and flat headband. The Audio Technica ADH1000X sounds great a big pads with light clamp.

Not many places outside of Head-Fi where you could find that opening line.

If you have the budget for a classic then the AKG K1000 springs to mind as one of the most breathable designs.
