Hello,
I am new to the forum however I have been using it as a reference for a long time
I currently own a pair of Sennheisers HD25-1 II and I am pretty satisfied with them, however since they easily become uncomfortable on long listening sessions I was looking for an over ear alternative/upgrade. My requirements are: closed back (mandatory), interchangeable cable and pads (very welcome). The price point should be around the same of the HD25.
I usually listen to classical music and prog /art / alt rock and I have an Asus Essence One as DAC/amp.
My current shortlist would be: Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro, Audio Technica ATH-M50X and AKG K271 MKII. The AKGs are the one which appeals to me the most, I am however a bit worried by reports of lacking bass.
Also l would like to know if I am overlooking one or more good candidates
Thanks in advance!
