I posted this earlier in the amp section, and hoped I would have better luck in here..

I know that on the headamp website it states that the g-lite has 1w output... but it doesnt say at what impedance. Anyone have an idea?

The amplifier's output is voltage limited (not current limited) because the second stage runs out of voltage swing - typically about 6V rms. For a 32 ohm load, the maximum output power is 1.125W (0.1875A). For a 300 ohm load such as the Sennheiser HD600, the maximum output power is 0.125W (0.02A).

Found that further down in the article.

I've measured a dynalo and found that it could swing about 4Vrms into 32 ohms before clipping, so the output power is indeed 0.5Wrms into 32 ohms.

Reason I ask is because I've been using my g-;ite as a pre-amp for some 8 or 16 ohm tiny monitor speakers... Just wondering if thats too high of an output for the amp to handle.

8 ohms is too low for the dynalo to drive. Even 16 ohms is asking it to do a bit much because speakers are far less efficient than headphones.
