I've been looking at many other setups as of late, and the hype over the Outlaw PCA seems to be over. However in my case, I upgraded for cheaper from the Kimber PJB line to the Outlaws and haven't looked back.
In fact if possibly over the last few years, everything but the Outlaws have came and went, damned autogon!
However, I found them to be quite tonally accurate, along side with nice punchy impact and far less sibilant than some pure silvers I used in my solid state systems.
I was recommended to look at some Tara labs, VD and even look back at Kimber's HERO line...
I recently heard a setup utializing MIT's new Magnum series, but I can't justify the $!1XXX costs for a set of IC's
Present system:
Includes
Jolida JD100A w/ electro harmonic tubes and newly dynamatted on the insides
Conrad Johnson CAV-50, to now move onwards to Grant Fidelity tube 348 series amps
Tara Labs RSC Prime 1000 bi-wired
Outlaw PCA Ic's for the unit and for my HPA-1 (audio alchemy)
Oh and Volex 17504 power cables (which seem to sound quite good
)
thanks!
