Could you tell me the best headphone out of these three that would be best suited to my setup.

Goldring DR150 Beyerdynamic DT770/80 Equation RP-21.

My setup is a Cowon D2 paired with a C&C Box+ portable amp.

Many thanks.

well the dr150 is open, so if you want open, then its your phone. The dt770 is less isolating, and very bassy and very comfy. It usually asks for an amp, since you have one, your set. The rp is cheaper and uglier, but the sound shouldnt be all to far off. you pick.

ES7 works well on my D2. I don't even use my amp with it. But it seems like you want a big powerful can w/ your setup. If your a basshead then the option should be DT770Pro80.

Out of those three you mentioned I would pick the Goldring DR150 if your only concern is SQ. It has much to do with their open design. However, I would not use them as a portable since they are open. I'm also a bit concerned with synergy. DR150+bright source might be too peaky for some. I heard the D2 is bright sounding (correct me if I'm mistaken), not familiar w/ the C&C Box though.

These three headphones has very good bass with lots of impact, but if you want more bass and midbass, go for the DT770. They may also look the least tacky out in public.

The RP21 is a good choice if you're looking for isolation and the more neutral sounding of the three. I wouldn't want to wear them outside though, it has something to do with their design and color, but other people might have different opinions
