Just picked one of these cases up in blue for about $12. This thing is great if you have an iPod mini that's already got some sort of sleeve or case (Vaja case, Agent18 case, etc.) but you still need a little more hard case protection when tossing it into a backpack, bag, etc. Great dimensions for the mini by itself w/ no accessories, which is fine by me. I picked one up because I needed something I could throw in my bag on the way to work without worry of the mini getting damaged, but also something that's relatively small. I didn't need to take headphones w/ me, or a pocketdock, etc. because this is just for when I plug my Mini in at work through some computer speakers, and I'll have an ac adaptor at work. So for my purposes, it's just fine.
They also offer this in clear, which is nice looking, but I figure if I leave it in the car, or on my desk, etc. I don't want to advertise that "hey, I have an expensive mp3 player-- come get it!", so I went with the blue.
In order to make it a perfect fit, I used some pick-n-pluck foam from a Pelican case that I used to have in order to line the top half of the case so that it would hold the mini snug (as there's a little extra room without it) and it fits snug as a bug. This is another reason why this case would be a great fit if you have your mini in a nice leather case like the Vaja (which I have on the way), because it'd make your mini a little thicker, and thus fit more snug without the use of foam.
Anyhoo, check out otterbox.com-- they have some slightly larger sizes, etc. if you're looking to also carry an amp and interconnect and some earbuds. I thought this was a great option for me, and for very little $$$ to boot, so I thought I'd pass along the good find.
