Hi @zoltank8,
Just my 2 cents, I suggest just getting another cable, penonaudio.com, ISN Audio C16 (Bass Enhance) or H16,
Hope you have a great day !

I could even cut it a bit shorter, but I can't see how I could reattach it. I should be able to take it apart but I do not know how.Hi @zoltank8,

Hi @zoltan8,
If you mean your original cable, then it is simply a matter of using a good wire cutter/stripper to do so, the potentially tricky part, especially if you're inexperienced in electronics, is soldering the cable back to the connector...
Better off just going with my suggestions first then working out how to fix your failed cable later.
Hope you have a great day !

Do you have any idea how to take the buds apart in the first place?

Hi @zoltank8,
Short of breaking them open...no...sorry...
As a side note, I also want to apologise as I didn't realise at first these had non detachable cables which will be your main problem though saying that, if there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the actual earphone drivers, rewiring the cable might work but isn't guaranteed...
Sorry can't be further help though honestly, you might want to look into another IEM, possibly iBasso IT 01, unless the KC 06 is still under warranty then you can contact the retailer who you purchased from & ask if they can help.
Hope you have a great day !
