If you offered it for $1000, I guarantee it would sell in less than 2 minutes.
I’ve been giving the Cayin C9 another chance especially paired to the Hugo 2 …
And have been thoroughly enjoying its synergy with both Trailii and Utopa

Yeah, I have my C9 paired with my Hugo 2 as a second Desktop system. My Bluesound Node 2i is connected to it optical and my Bifrost 2 + THX AAA 789 or Bifrost 2 + Bottlehead Crack via coax, so I can use Tidal Connect to play on both at the same time for A/B testing.

Oh no, the anxiety I now feel knowing that @CL14715 may happen upon my review is intense! I’m just an amateur, go easy on me man!

Excellent review Collin!

That’s a light grip for such an expensive load. I’m relieving my anxiety by telling myself your hand is over your bed…

Excited to hear more comparison.

Is that circle on the FS the bone conduction?
I can answer this; yes it is the BCD.

For some reason, the BCD in this demo unit is very visible. Mine is much less so.

As an aside, I continue to be surprised how small the Traillii is when I see it next to other IEMs.

Comparison to Nio for scale (because that’s all I have now).

I always expected it to be bigger. Not sure why, but when I first saw pictures it just looked big. But it isn’t.

edit: happy to take other angles if helpful for anyone :)
