It's honestly ruining any other IEM for me at this point. I am more excited for DAPs and AMPs to "color" the Traillii slightly one way versus another rather than find an IEM that can compete technically (and musically). Hint: 99.999% can't. Even my beloved Infinity Mk2 is barely getting listening time lately.

And seriously fellas-if you ever crave slightly more aggressive mids from the Bird, just get the W2. I genuinely need to A/B versus my M8 to see if M8 is worth keeping, mainly because the W2 already makes the Bird incredibly musical. It synergizes well because Bird is so technical off the bat, that sacrificing a bit of the staging for musicality is an easy exchange. R8 stays for my scaleable, more vast listening.

• Huge amount of time and energy saving
• No itchy in your IEM desire
• Being able to show off to your friends

Most importantly, so far, I haven’t seen any Traillii in the classified. After the price increase, the resale price will anchor on that, which means the used price could almost approach the current offer.

That’s actually a fair point. If you are still rolling IEMs, DON’T get the bird. Will ruin any other IEMs for you.

Never heard anyone say that as an across the board statement, “I prefer another IEM for everything”.

My living with it and my other small number of sets there are times and music that I prefer on another set. Even so those times and those musics I also really enjoy with the Traillii.

If there can be only one, for me Traillii is it, out of what sets I have heard thus far.

well, I perfectly agree with you! Traillii’s also my favorite IEMs.
On the other hand, how many people do you know who actually listened to Traillii? Except for the few who voice their opinion on the forum and who actually bought it (me included)?
Where I live, anyone can enter a shop and demo it. I happened to chat with some folks in the shops and asked them what they think about Traillii. The takeaway is that they all think Traillii sounds great but funnily none of them picked it as their favorite IEMs... One prefers Fitear Titan, another prefers the Flamenco, several guys told me they feel traillii is mainly for vocals and pop music. And funny story, few days ago I made a colleague listen to my setup (traillii + LP6 Gold) without telling him he was listening to a $10k+ setup. The guy is not an audiophile but he is a musician (drummer) and a metal head. He told me it sounds not bad but his favorite IEM for metal is the AirPod Pro... So... yeah... I guess all I’m trying to say is that it doesn’t matter how some people think something is the best! Ultimately it’s all a matter of taste in the end and what type of music you listen to...
As for me, Traillii is my thing and I surely don’t regret purchasing it .

For me the thing with Traillii is that it is a Jack of all trades, master or most. A couple factors here and there it isn’t the best at, which is where “specialist” IEMs come into play, but overall I prefer it to virtually all other IEMs.

I still think one could have another IEM or two in the collection - as alluded to above - for very specific capabilities which they excel at, and usually for certain music genres.

And funny that “pop” was mentioned above - a guilty pleasure I’ve been enjoying tremendously recently is Dua Lipa on the bird through the R8 #donttellanyone

Had an audition of a DCS Bartok and Chord TT2 today. My first thought was wondering how the bird would sound.

Nothing wrong with pop. I have Frozen’s “Let it Go” from the original sound track and Sarah Alainn’s cover, Taylor Swift Love story and Exile as well as Sia’s acoustic rendition of Chandalier as regular audition tracks!

Whenever I audition headphones or iems. The store I go to knows, not to tell me the price. Let me know when I decide on what I like. Ended with interesting choices and sometimes alot cheaper or much more expensive than expected.

No shame of being Dua Lipa fan Her last album is well written, produced, and performed! Great disco pop style, and I'm still obsessed with Love Again and how they cleverly sampled White Town "Your woman". And Traillii keeps up well with a bassline of the track!

+1 Traillii may be a budget killer, it is most certainly not a hobby killer.

I only just recently bought one so have corresponded with Andrew. He inferred that the Oriolus was increasing their price and that his cost was likely to increase. There was a $1000US discount when they were first released (the coupon code on the Headfonia review site is no longer valid) but I would suggest emailing Andrew for a discount or honouring current pricing. He is a fantastic and prompt communicator.
