I had a set of Utopia for a couple years. They’re easy to drive and sounded amazing out of most stuff I had (RME ADI2 and a bunch of DAPs).I own an LCD-X with a Gumby mjol 2 stack at home alongside my dx300 and a12t. How would you guys compare the traillis to some higher end cans? I’ve been debating if I should upgrade from the X to Utopias or just sell everything and buy the traillis. I prefer iems slightly as I’m not bound to my desk and can share the listening experience with others more easily.
I sold the Utopia to fund the Trailli and haven’t regretted it. That being said, portability is a factor for me, so that plays in for sure.
Maybe I’m an undiagnosed bass head, but I always found the Utopia slightly bass light for my tastes. Not sure how it would compare to the X. Other than that, the Utopia was perfect for me in almost every other department.
Traillii hits the mark for me across the board in a different way than Utopia, hard to say better, just different. Both are awesome, and I don’t regret having owned either.
