My PW Audio no.5 is definitely gone on the left side. I am deciding between the Effect Audio ARES II and ordering another no.5 - I think I'll play it safe with the sound I already know plus I think the ARES heavy splitter will annoy me.
Can anyone please confirm that the Oriolus connector is the CM 2-pin?
I just saw that the FiiO LC-RE comes in 2-pin, has anyone tried this?

I can safely say that I found the sound to be a lot better w the Ares 2 over the PW no 5. PW no 5 makes the Mk2 too smooth/dark. While the Ares 2 helps it dig out every little micro detail in the music, as it retains the natural character of the Mk2.

Picked up a new set of the Mk 2 and it seems the housing is slightly smaller (perhaps I’m incorrect about the housing size, not sure), also not detecting the same level of driver flex. Same world-beating bass and resolution. Pretty happy

No, def got the Mk2. Perhaps the Reborn, which i had most recently is bigger and I’m forgetting how large the the old Mk2 was.

It has the new carbon fiber paint scheme around the gold Oriolus insignia and black by the tip side, if that’s what you mean? Old paint scheme was all black w gold Oriolus insignia. Both schemes are originals i’d say

im all new to oriolus and never seen it in real life. planning to buy one but musictek run out of reborn. nowhere selling mk2 but penon. that s why im not sure if they are genuine.

they def are. Penon is legit dude. i’m embarrassed to say this is the second time I’ve purchased the mk2 from them. they handled a repair issue w my first Mk2 like bosses. Musicteck is great too
