Since my main amp is on the fritz and my Creek OBH-11SE is not up to my current standards I decided that I need a better back up amplifier. I pulled the trigger on a Channel Island Audio VHP-1 and VAC-1. They have gotten very good write-ups and they’re not very expensive so I figured what the hell.

I built a ¼” headphone plug to female Neutrik 4 pin connector (using Siltech wire of course). This will allow me to run my K1000’s from the VHP-1, and any other ¼” jack equipped amplifier.

I love new toys! Damn you Head-Fi!!

hey, congrats! let us know how it sounds, and if it can pump out enough power for the K1000s. reports are, my 600 ohm darth beyers sound great with that amp (trusting Romanee's word on that!) so i'm looking forward to a listen at the NYC meet this saturday!

My VHP-1 will not arrive in time for the NY meet so unless someone else is bringing a VHP-1 there won't be one there.
