I just pulled the trigger on some $20 8620AR Op Amps For my Hd 650's. They are dual channel so hopefully they will work with my prelude.

Sure, it's definitely a nice opamp, but 2x AD825 will seriously make them sing.

Any Place to get them pre-mounted?

Well i got the 8610 Op Amps today and have been listening for about an hour. I personally believe they made the HD 650s sound a little brighter but they still don't compare to the D2000's. Except they surpass the D2000's in soundstage. Also, I have to turn the treble and bass up in the Creative Panel to "attempt" to reach the D2000's sound.

The 650's overall jsut sound a little foggy...

Easy way to mount soic-8 to dip-8. Bend the leads to point towards the proper point, use solder to bridge the gaps. Tiny jumper cables should be bent into place on the corner pins.

Once you solder one leg into place with the part in the correct orientation, it is far less likely to rotate on its own and the project becomes much easier.
