I've been looking to get a longer cable and found these two as options around my budget.
Plastic:
6' BJC Mitsubishi ESKA POF: 20$ shipped
http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/digital-audio/

Glass:
6' Glass Cable (Unique Products): 26$ shipped
http://www.amazon.com/Ft-Toslink-Glass-Digital-Audio/dp/B0017YUN3C/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1337959285&sr=1-3

I know BJC has a good standing in this forum, but I haven't seen or heard of this Unique manufacturer/supplier.  Any info, suggestions, opinions, feedback is welcome.
Thank you

Unique products is fine.  I have that very glass optical cable from them.  I don't think it matters which you go with.

Just order your optical cable(s) from Monoprice, great prices.

blue jeans cable can make cables in any length you want.

Just note that optical is very touchy esp depending on what data rate your need.  If you're looking for a very long cable and your using high-res files, I'm sure it could get even more touchy.
