I don't know the technical name but i have two sources and one amp. And constantly switching out the opticals is annoying and i don't know if it will damage the optical. So i was wondering if there was something out there that i could plug both into and then flip a switch to determine which source goes to the amp,like a valve?

sorry.....mis read your post. i dont think such thing exists. your amp does it have multiple output ? Or loop out ?

I just searched on Amazon for "optical switch" and a number of items come up.
