I would like to participate in the PM-3 Loaner program, and agree to the terms and conditions. I'm just getting into my HE-560's and am interested in a more portable set up as I am on the road lots.

PM-3 Unit #2 is safely in my care. Everything's there and in good working order. Looking forward to my week with these :L3000:

Looking forward to your impressions

Have an awesome time! At some point, have a listen to something recorded in a church or other "acoustic location rather than a typical studio, you'll be impressed at the depth the PM-3 can convey!

Have you tried the PM-2 yet?  Bigger pads, smoother/warmer sound... I found that I preferred them in almost every way to the similar LCD-2f.  Just curious what your thoughts are if you have.

If not, you might try jumping on to the PM-2 loaner program!

just a fyi side note. I believe the PM-2 earpads (~15mm for the PM-1) are actually not as deep compared to the PM-3 earpads (~17mm).

From memory, I'd probably agree.  I was talking more about circumference, tho.  I find the PM-3 to be about as small as I can go comfortably.  The PM-2 feel much bigger around the ears.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try some live classical recordings with these.

Yeah, I've got small ears and PM-3 fit really well. I can see people with large ears feeling crowded with these.

Does anyone have a measurement on the internal height of the PM-3 cups?

Height including padding is ~9.5cm
Earspace height inside the cup is ~5.7cm

Width including padding is ~7.5cm
Earspace width inside the cup is ~3.5cm

Depth is ~2cm.

The pads have a little give in width but much in height.

These were the official release specs: http://www.head-fi.org/t/653032/size-matters-earpad-hole-measurements-for-over-ear-headphones/30#post_11317874

@nmatheis, if you like to post your own measurements to the thread I linked, I think it could be a helpful resource. thanks! cheers

Received the loaners yesterday. First tried them straight out of the iPhone. Very, nice. Later tried them with iPad/Dragonfly/Tidal. Even a neighbor cutting his lawn it was great listening on the deck. I haven't gushed about a pair of headphones in a while. I really, like these. Fantastic build and comfort. Have to do some more listening.
