Hello everyone, i've been a long time lurker here on head-fi and this forum has helped me a lot with my audio needs (decided to bite the bullet and get a JVC HA-SZ2000 due to reviews).

I have just bought myself an Oppo 205 and i'm loving it as a UHD player. However, I want to use it to listen to music as well. I have a Tidal subscription and I am using Roon as a host for it to play in Wasapi mode. I saw that Oppo has their own driver for WDM 2 (class 2 usb) which you need to download in order to have bit-perfect streaming through the asynchronous usb input on th back of the player.

I need some advice on how to get the best bit-perfect, unaltered signal path to my Oppo from my PC!

Does the driver in question automatically work with Roon in Wasapi mode? Would I be better off just using TIdal with exclusive mode and the USB DAC selected as output?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I fiddled around with the settings and i've managed to get a lossless signal and MQA rendering from Roon but RAAT (Roon advanced audio transport) has become part of the signal chain whereas before it was not included. Is that a normal occurrence?
