Opinions on using desktop Amps in general?

So I'm trying to do some research into where the Headphone community is at with using desktop amplifiers. Such a wide range of available products now but most are still quite specialised or at least pointed in one direction or another. I thought people would be more into taking this survey, I was expecting to be told to ask better questions rather than getting no Head-fi responses. Please share your opinions, it's totally anonymous, no email collection, just opinions on Amps and a bit of naming equipment you own.
