Anyone here open the Shure E4c? I would like to recable mine & see if I can get some improvement in SQ. It looks like I can take/pry the metal ring off & that may allow for separating the top & bottom halves. I'm not sure what to expect after that though, or if the top half is glued too well to the other half to separate them. I'm not willing to be the first to try this, as I like the sound OK, just looking for a better cable that feels & sounds better.
