I read threads about flipping Grado drivers, taping AKG vents, etc. Here's another no-cost science experiment: K501s over loosely inserted Super-fi 5pros (and the UE attenuator). YOu get a schizoid sound stage, you can tell you're listening to 2 different drivers. difficult to get the 5pros equally loosely inserted on both sides tho.

Shizoid sound stage, eh? I've tried this with Creative EP-630, pretty different, kinda cool experiment.

ah, i decided it wasn't that much fun. I think it's cause you have two attack-decay curves superimposed, I was started to get a headache

Sounds like a way to get the open headphones and speakers at once effect using iems and headphones. Or maybe its different, I hate IEMs so i cant test that comparison.
