Hey all! Just another this-or-that thread.

Currently in the market for very clear, crisp OPEN cans with a wide soundstage again!
I listen to about every genre, but I suppose the genres that resonate the best with this type of sound sig. that I listen to (IMO) would be rock and trance. I love my trance podcasts because of the spacious sounds and beautiful melodies, I tune in every week to podcasts like "Future Sound of Egypt" "Global DJ Broadcast" "Vonyc Sessions" "Pure Trance Radio" "Trance Chill" "Electric for Life" you get the picture..

I listen to other genres, such as lots of old-school hip-hop, but this sound sig. does not normally do well with that, I have my closed-back VMODAs, MAudios and Sonys for that ish :P

I have narrowed down to 3 ATM as I am looking no more than the $300 price-range at the moment.

Audio Technica AD1000X: I've heard the sound signature of the AD -X series fits my above credentials, and is very crisp with a wide soundstage. The only reason I'm also asking about the 900xs below in comparison is because I've read that the 900s have a wider soundstage than the 1000s, which is a crucial desire for my next set here..
Audio-Technica AD 900X: These or the 1000s? Have read a couple comparisons but still cannot decide..
Fostex T50RP: These I have little info about.. I know they are semi-open and fit my sound sig.. I have no idea how they compare to the ADs mentioned and I hear they are hard to drive.. speaking of which see what I'm using to drive below:

(I have a FiiO E07K DAC mounted on to a FiiOE09K AMP

Here's what I own at the moment and my impressions if that helps with suggestions:
Grado SR 80e: I LOVE the sound of these phones, I'm apparently a love-at-first-site fan of the Grado sig.... For my love of trance, I find they are FAR more enjoyable than any of my bass-heavy headphones. I just can't go back to my VMOdas or M Audio Q40s for trance after listening to trance with the Grados on..so clear, this is the reason why I'm NOT considering the Fidelio X2s, I've heard they are V-Shaped, which I've learned after purchasing a few pairs of open backs that I'm just not very interested in anymore. I like clear and wide.

VMODA M100: These are nice, but I just can't do the V-shape mentioned above especially for trance or rock, more suited for hiphop or RNB.

M-Audio Q40s: Same as VMODA M 100s.

Sony XB500: Same as VMODAs and Q40s, amazingly large bass though..

Any other suggestions would be welcome such as the Beyer DT series, AKG quincy jones series other Grados since I apparently like Grado, etc..

Ended up getting the ad1000x and they are the exact signature I've been looking for. I enjoy them more than my he 500s, even for some dance genres like the trance I mentioned, which is surprising because the planars are supposed to produce tighter bass
