hello all,
I am looking for a new opamp for my SM3. The SA5534AN ive been using with my HF1's is just a bit too bright. Im looking for something with a slightly warmer, more musical and involving/smoother sound, while retaining detail and punchy bass.

at this point, im looking at the AD797 as a possibility

anyone have any suggestions for some others i should try?

if you could also post how to get a hold of the opamp, that would be great too

thanks!

The SA5534 opamp responds superbly to being put in OBCA. I don't know what effect this has to the sound?

Don't get the OPA627, switching to the SA5534s from these made my Senns sound even smoother...I like this sound however.

With regards to the OBCA adapter, you can get 2 of them from fixup.net for $10.
