Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place, but today my akg's came in, and I noticed right off the bat that the right channel of my akg's work! So trying to find out if it was the jack, i tested it in my ipod and another computer, no luck. I tried changing the eq so all audio went to the right channel, also no luck. So I'm here to ask what the problem is, and can it be fixed?

Also, after about 30 minutes of listening the left channel is crackling, but only in the mids. Is there any hope? :c

Hello.

Try to measure resistance between GND and both channels. Mine have about 650 ohm.

Easiest way to find out for sure is to open them and check for defects in the cable or internal wires.

You will have to get off thr glued side discs (get something under them, perhaps a little heating up might help) and then unscrew the plastic cover, Then the wires are accessable and measurable.

Do you require pictures? I have disassembled the old K141 myself.
