I just ordered one of these from Vann's for $379 shipped. It has a dedicated headphone jack/volume pot.

It's for use in a hobby shop but I'll post my experiences with it and my Denon's.

Looks like a nice player for the bucks.

I got this yesterday, very prompt shipping from Vann's and nicely double boxed.

It's a nice unit in the looks dept and the drawer, controls work well. I haven't done any seriously listening thru speakers yet.

I did spend a couple of hours listening thru the headphone jack and was very impressed. I'd say this is a very good choice for someone who just wants to listen to cd's thru can's and doesn't want to bother with a head-amp.

Thanks for the feedback, Jodet - there seems to be a lot of requests from folk wanting to know if the headphone out on various receivers/amps/cdps is up to scratch, and its great to have specific recommendations. I would be very interested to hear a comparison between the new CDP and the DX-7555, per the glowing reviews for the latter alluded to in this thread:
