I have on source (buffalo DAC) and run it to three separate amplifiers currently through RCA's.

In order to do this I am forced to physically swap the RCA's plugged into the source each time I switch amplification.

Is there some sort of high quality switch available to make this a less arduous task?

Well.. the buffalo dac is a DIY project. Just build extra output jack's and a switch into it, or if you didn't build it yourself, most DIY'ers should be able to implement it no problem.

Otherwise, you can take the output from your buffalo dac, and make a external switchbox.

As FallenAngel said, the best you can use are RCA splitters, like these (see example on bottom)

Don't forget that a big part of the desktop amplifiers comes with a loop RCA output too, non touching the signal, so you can propagate it to another amp, being theorically the same that your DAC's output.

Will this result in a loss of quality?

Does any of your amps have a loop out?

Unfortunately not

Thanks!

are there any switch boxes that you would recommend? I've stayed away from stereo pre-amps as it seems most of them have digital volume controls.

I use a Niles Audio XP-1 which has 5 sets of RCA inputs and one set of RCA outputs (~$70) and a TC716 switch box ($20) which has 6 input/outputs (four RCA and two mini-jacks) both work fine for me, basically pretty much any switch box will work invisibly unless it is utter rubbish. I tested the effect of my switch box against a single cable direct link and it was barely measurable and wholly inaudible.

Passive pre-amp will work.

I have a Mapletree LR-1 with 3 sources-3 components. Come to the Seattle meet and you can check it out.
