Tie watch. Hmmmmmm. Good idea? Young hipsters will no doubt flock to this improvisation en masse.

It goes without saying that the tie watch is not for the gentleman. Ties go around the neck or in the drawer, please. Nor are they age-appropriate for anyone past their 20's, because casual young-ish hipster clothing is required to make it work. It's all about contrast, you see. The tie goes on the wrist because it definitely doesn't go around the neck. The point is to give the impression of having robbed a gentleman, not to appear as one. The well-dressed, young and old, would be advised to steer clear of this horological bastardization. No self-respecting gentleman would treat their expensive ties like this. Tut tut!

Beyond those caveats, it actually works. Thumbs up for a creative twist on an old standard, though the wearer will likely give the impression that this is indeed "My First Tie". Best advice I can give: If you must indulge, don't go throwing the whole thing in the wash.

More tie watches.

Niiiice, I like it a lot! Wouldn't be hard to make at all either. Just find an old watch (or a nice one with an ugly strap), rip the strap off, find an old tie, buy a button and snap, put it all together and there you go. I like the Pratt tie myself:

How much to take a catsup stain out of a Rolex?
