A broken set of cans that need the solder skills of some solder zen master, is one of only three produced, and $500 for something no one has ever heard of??? Not a chance!!! These guys gotta be kidding. I also never buy from ANYONE with less than about 100 feedbacks anymore!!!

what the hell are these things. i'm sure if this technology was ever any good one of the bigger companies would have picked it for commercial production, even if only for a limited run.

I just HAD to post this part of the eBay auction. It still cracks me up when I read the absurdity of it:

Quote:

The left channel is dead; can be used right on in mono; this could be fixed if you know a company/individual able to solder a 1/10mm - 3 mm long platinum "hair" on a 1,5mm support!

Man!! Who can solder a platinum hair of 1/10mm onto something of 1.5mm!!!! WOW, those got to be some steady hands to do that job!! (Italics added to emphasize my point!)

I had the same feeling when I first read it...and decided that I just had to share it with you guys here.

BTW, ServinginEcuador, the term you used in your first post "solder zen master" really cracked me up...what a great description of the skill needed to pull this operation off.
