Chance to use high end amps at a meet, the HD800 was jaw dropping with the Schiit Yggdrasil>Woo Audio WA5 (with Sophia Royal Princess tube upgrade)

So here is my list. This is subject to change and my opinion:

10. Not yet because nothing comes close

9's : Senn hd 558, BeyerDynamic Lp2
8'S : Sennheiser Momentum, Akg 701 Shure earphones(forgot model as I type this)
6.Wicked Audio (had them for 5 months before they broke)
5: The new beats Studios, Skullcandy crushers ,aviators
4's Sol Republics(any model)
1. None(not yet.)

Is there a definable list of which amps really make the hd800 sound its best? 

Tube amps seem to draw more out of the HD800, the Woo Audio WA22 is nice but not quite the level of the WA5.
 
I have tried the HD800 with the Cavalli Liquid Carbon and Crimson, the Senns HDVD 600 and 800, Yulong Sabre A28, Schiit Ragnarok and all the less expensive Schiit amps, I have a Meier Classic amp and an ALO portable MK3B+
 
In my opinion the Woo Audio tube amps, are just a step above all the other mentioned amps

  I guess I will chime in on what I currently have in my collection,
 
 
 
HD650......................................9.5  (with tubes just chill inducing)
HE-500.....................................9.3  (just plain good)
HD600......................................8.9 (touch of warmth that I crave)
  Phillips Fidelio X1.......................5.1 (not as good as they are made out to be, but decent)
  This was compiled with the caveat  that this is the way auditory system interrupts the collection of music I own through the aforementioned head phones, I do not care to defend my claims, sound is subjective.

i see u have rated 650s better than he500s...wondering if the comfort of 650s is the reason...
what Dac/amp do u use for 650s and he500s
i have not heard he500s but reading through different threads i am given to understand that he500 is an upgrade over hd650s

I own the HD650 and have owned HE400 and several times over have heard the HE500's
 
I think the HD650 is not only easier to wear but so much easier to drive, my own preference hands down

AKG K712 Pro.......................9(Very fast, detailed, balanced, and natural yet manages to sound very musical at the same time)
Beyerdynamic DT 150............9(Amazing vocals, 3D sound, and even more euphoric than the HD 650)
Sennheiser HD 650................8(Euphoric, warm, and addicting, no veil or congestion)
Sennheiser HD 600................6(sounds congested, veiled, and a bit boring to me but good tonality and timbre)
