On a mission to like jazz

Just trying one of the MPS reissues on vinyl (pressed at Optimal). Nice flat, quiet pressing, although an initial clean removed quite a lot of gunk (mould release agent?). So far, SQ is better than the CDs from the turn of the millennium.
One criticism: the grooves are fairly tightly packed, and leave little dead wax at the end of the side. I can’t help thinking that this really wanted to be a double LP...

Uh... dis is a really big guitar! Beautiful arrangement too. I just wish the sound quality was better so I could really hear it.
