i think i may be the only person in the US who cares, or at least the only head-fier but still...

after the first three brilliantly packaged and remastered OMD releases many years ago, i've been waiting patiently for OMDs best album to get the remaster treatment with period b-sides and rarities... it's finally coming, yay!

the remastered Dazzle Ships come out sometime in April.

main album:
Radio Prague
Genetic Engineering
ABC Auto-Industry
Telegraph
This Is Helena
International
Dazzle Ships (Parts II, III & VII)
The Romance Of The Telescope
Silent Running
Radio Waves
Time Zones
Of All The Things We've Made
rarities:
Telegraph (The Manor Version 1981)
4-Neu
Genetic Engineering (312MM Version)
66 And Fading
Telegraph (Extended Version)
Swiss Radio International

hope the remaster will take care of the lack of bottom-end oomph on this album. no more listening to horrible vinyl sourced extended mixes and b-sides too, yay.

this, a new live OMD DVD coming soon (featuring the reunited classic lineup) and maybe a new album too!

no problem. i wonder if it's going to recieve a domestic release or is it just in the UK? i remember spending a ton on OMD's first three reissues on the UK imports, then to find them released in the US half a year later.

oh well, i'll pay the imported price just for having this reissue of Dazzle Ships anyway. well worth the money for one of the most innovative albums from the 80's IMHO... i often call it the Kid A of it's era.
