Hi,
I need some help here. I would like to know if the old version headroom max out home is any improvement from the Maxed out META42. I have a META42 with OPA637 op-amps, EL2002 buffer, Oversized Panasonic Capacitor, Wima cap, and built in cross-feed curicuit. Can anyone help me out here? I've heard the Maxed out Meta42 has similar performance to headroom cosmic, how about the Maxed Out Meta42 vs. Old Version of Headroom Max out home.

I have Sony CD3K, A100ti, and HD600 (w/ clou blue), and my Sony NS500V is my source. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Checking out the attractively priced model on Audiogon? I was thinking about this myself. I think it would be a close race, close enough for me not to buy it at least

I have similar feeling too. I read from soundstage magazine that the new MOH is a significant improvement over the old version, plus, many of the member here in headfi comment that the new MOH is 95% of the MAX. Thanks for chime in, anyone else?

A well configured META42 can sound better than a Cosmic, but the MOH and MAX have much better power supplies than the Cosmic and that's a big plus. The older headroom amps are a little rolled off at the high end, and the crossfeed is a little more colored than the current lineup. Having heard them both but not side by side, I'm pretty sure that I would prefer the new MOH to the old Max.
