Old skool any good?

I'm not familiar with them but if the 'benchmark' senn 414 of mid 80's can be of any comparison, I don't think these Rotel will sound any good, compared to modern 90's phones (about the time of phones 'revolution' =) I have several vintage phones that really can't compete even to lowly philips or sporta pro.

They sure look pretty though.

No idea whether these are good, but the price still looks nice, so why not give them a try? I find it quite interesting to listen to vintage headphones every once in a while, but then I very often get fascinated by vintage technology in general.

Good idea, but better limit yourself to just one vintage ... otherwise sooner or later it'll be real money. =) Btw ime 'vintage' stuff that are worth pursuing are tuners and turntables. Need to spend big $$$ to achieve similar level of quality thesedays.

As for phones the big difference I believe with development of diffuse-field whatever and some eq notch to re-create impression of FR flatness. My old senn 230 can still do 20k but they just don't sound right.
