Guess Denafrips believe that their oxco clocks are mighty fine as the only clocks and that having them millimeters mm away from R2R ladder circuitry is best. Yes, the reportedly cybershaft oxco clock of upgraded Tplus also provides further improvement

I am also glad to since this means no option to spend more $ on uber $ external clocking and needing more precious rack spaces

Kudos to them for offering that where no other DAC manufacturers will ever attempt to even offer a similar gesture. The current Select II uses dual power bases where most reviews only had one power base version.

Terminator means non-upgradable, MSB have 8 or 16 ladders, still upgradable, maybe I missed a count. And no competitors, this is nice, but don't sell.

A big battle is in the price range of Terminator. Rockna Wavelight, Sonnet Morpheus. Audio GD R7-HE or HE-7 (discrete ladder vs 8x PCM1702 Kingwa bought a stock in quantities and now he earns more money on selling chips than together with HE-7). Sound is the most important and totally different from brand to brand, but surprisingly in the Mk2 version there is no big difference between R7-HE and HE-7.

90k/8k .. I can throw away 11x when I upgrade from my Tplus albeit I cannot afford to do so .. hence no msb select 2 dac

Like which one, what $ and what are upgradeable ?

Upgrade path of Terminator 1, Terminator 1 with improved dsp board, TerminatorPlus and upgraded TerminatorPlus in the last 2.5 yrs for me had been fine especially with added synced clocking, matching ddc, newer clocks ... each time with obvious improvement and great resale values of previous.
