Hello guys, so I decided to go with rockna wd net as server/streamer. Does anyone knows about i2s HDMI compatibility?

Terminator 2 /+ can be configured to work with various I2S formats. There are 8 different configurations. I think you will have very good chance of success.

But you can always reach out to Alvin with Rockna's I2S configuration and I think Alvin can help confirm the compatibility.

To OP (richardloh) did you by chance had the oppotunity to listen to the terminator (I or II). If so how does it (they) compare to the plus ?

Oops .. sorry for being 1.5yr late.

I had the Terminator 1 and then added the dsp board but nvr the Terminator 2.

Everything SQ related is better with the Tplus and rightfully so at higher $ range ... especially when you synced compatible Denafrip products e.g. Avatar cdp or even ddc to play with components without clocking facility.

One key recent development is that I had received an updated Hermes (previous was 1st few units with femto clock) with oxco clock and dunno what other magic but usb out of Antipodes to Hermes now sounds better than directly to usb input of Tplus

Haha .. really ? Nvr had the MSB and will nvr will find out .. presumably you had both to know.

Had a t+ Since last December. Dac has been replaced by rockna signature which is on much higher level at dynamic, transparency, texture and details.
Just thought to someone looking for an upgrade

USD11k SE to 16k Balanced for sure will be of higher SQ

And then there is Solution 560 to 760 at usd34k to usd68k for next "much higher" upgrade

Tks but I do not believe if it can accept external clock if google translate is correct.

Btw, dual aes is not working still .. left and right channel are merged but disappointed that Denafrips is not fixing this since released.

Reviews on Tplus read so far either did not mentioned dual aes functionality and worse still when mentioned do not know that it is not working

When connecting the clock cables between the Denafrips DDC and the Denafrips DAC, look at the clock spec printed on the DAC and the DDC i/o's and connect accordingly, don't use the picture example from Denafrips or you can get your signals crossed- pun intended.
