Hi All,

For my desktop speakers I have a pair of Audioengine A2's. Pain with these speakers is that the power/volume knob is on the back of the main speaker. I have the signal output coming from the pre-amp out on my DAC/amp. Is it okay to leave the A2's on 24/7 at max volume and then use my DAC/amp to control the volume and turn off only the DAC/amp? Or might that damage the A2s? Thank you in advance!

Yes, should be ok- these speakers have auto-off... but i'd leave the volume at 75% instead of 100%. Just a precaution. This also helps with distortion- as mine distorts/clips badly when it is anywhere close to max volume.

I also have installed; a computer CPU heatsink and small fan on back section that gets hot... This is also only a precaution, as these speakers also have auto-shutdown if it gets close to max temp (amp)
