it's a 12v Ni-Cd. It'd just be a cmoy i'm using it on, maybe a pimeta in the future, paired with MS-1s. Is this ok to do? I'm sick of going thru 9v batteries like they're candy, and I don't feel like paying as much as it costs to order 2 good rechargable 9vs & a charger online. I can't find anylocal store that sells rechargable 9Vs

With the Mini3 V2 sort of imminent, it might be a good idea to go ahead and invest in a set of good 9V NiMH batteries. I've had several of these used in a couple of PIMETA's for quite awhile and they are outstanding:

http://cgi.ebay.com/4-9V-250mAh-NiMH...QQcmdZViewItem

The price is a little high at first ($27.85 w/shipping), but that's 4 - 250mah 8.4V NiMh batteries + charger. It works out to less than $7 per battery and yet includes the charger, too - which is a very good price.. So, you could use the charger for your CMoy - having one in, one out and charging all the time. Then you'd have two extra batteries for the new Mini3 V2 as well.

well, i'm glad i jumped into this thread when i did - i'd been considering springing for some rechargeable 9V batteries as well. if you jump on one of these auctions right before it ends, you can save a couple of bucks by just bidding the minimum price rather than "buying it now", and i just happened to look at the auction when it hit <1 min remaining. long story short, i'm now out $27.34 (CA sales tax be damned).

i'm quite new to the head-fi scene, but already i can see why people constantly refer to these forums (and this pastime in general) as a considerable drain on the wallet.
