Looks great, but I thought 6SN7 tubes had plastic bases? I'm not familiar with many tubes so correct me if I'm wrong.

These are the New New Stock (NNS) 6SN7 tubes

...It was a mistake on Mikhails part, they forgot to screen it with 6CG7. It confused the heck out of me at first, I was like what the ???

EDIT:
I forgot to mention how awesome Mikhail is to deal with! Such an A++++ guy! When he realized the mistake they made with the screening he was very apologetic and offered to fix it, but of course I said not a big deal at all and told him not to worry about it.

vanillawafer - I still think that a DFW mini-meet is in order, and your new baby would make a great centerpiece!

As you may have noticed, I just placed an order and should be one of the first to take possession of Xin's long-awaited Supermono. Add to that some new HD595s that are just burning in and your A900s, it seems to me we've got at least the beginnings of a pretty decent get-together!
