The scroll wheel is definitely improved.

The dynamics and stereo width also seem better. Am I imagining that or did you tweak the sound? lol

I'll keep this beta installed and take it to work. I'll let you know if I run into any problems.

I would try this new firmware, but it is reversible?

Also, there does not seem to be any news about scroll wheel or changes in sound, i wonder why people have these differenceS?

You can put any firmware that is for this player on it  anytime. They never put sound changes in the readm  file ,just some people can hear changes.

I had it installed all of yesterday and was listening continuously at work. I've been listening most of today too. There hasn't been a single problem. It seems stable enough for a full release to me.

Wow.

I didn't think it was even possible to fix the wheel. I thought that there was something inherently flawed within the hardware of the device that was holding it back. Turns out it was a software bug.

This is truly amazing: the most controversial scroll wheel, the device's biggest flaw, is now completely fixed.

I am sure that reviews will be full 5 stars now if they weren't already.

Great work guys!

Far from functional as it is now.

If I am in no playing and turn the wheel, it outputs an empty white screen.

If I select settings menu it comes out blank white screen.

...And it hang my DAP.

The wheel problem is solved btw.

Did you do a reset?  I had no issues when I updated the firmware or the menus when using the scroll wheel.  I hope your issues get fixed.

Tried.

I reverted to the old version.

I think that it is because I tweaked it with my own version of UI, but this should not had happened. I will investigate deeper into this.

anyways the wheel was amazing with this new UI!

Hmm... my device isn't doing the white screen thing that you described. The firmware doesn't work any differently from the old official released version except better from what I've seen.

I think it definitely has something to do with your UI tweaks and such. I hope that you figure it out soon.

Firmware 1.1 practically breaks the scroll wheel with random jumping (*was fine with 1.0) and I am glad to see the functionality has been fully restored in the new beta. Good job.
