I have used a Samsung EVO card with 128 GB with no problem, now replaced by a SanDisk 200 GB card, with no problem either. I don't have album art on it, though. Have you? If yes, it may help to resize the images to 400 x 360 pixels, the size of the screen.

For the record, the size of the screen is 320x240

Thanks – I've mixed it up with the X5 II.

looking at the firmware, on the default.ini

there's this line..

<digital_filter>0</digital_filter>    //0 is fast down

seems this is the DAC setting, fast rolloff or slow rollof

xduoo x3 have this setting (using same dac chip), but seems in the x3ii was hidden..

LOWPASS FILTER MODE
- Steep
- Gradual

(seem DAC Rolloff setting, Fast and Slow)

changing this during playback , will pause the current music..
i like the Steep Setting

(same as in xduoo x3, fast setting is better)

Using X3 gen 2 with fw 2.0 and a lexar 633x 128gb microsd card. I now get terrible stuttering at the beginning of most songs (using mainly 320kbps VBR MP3s). I never used to have this problem!

stuttering !?! can u be more clear, can u élaborate.

Starting and stoping a couple of times with, I think, some distortion? Happens only for the first few seconds of an mp3.

Hi, SGarfinkle.
Sorry for the late reply.

The issue you described just happens when playing the MP3 format files? How about playing other lossless files, such as FLAC, or WAV?
If you downgrade the X3II to the previous firmware, FW1.6 or older, the playback will be back to normal and the issue will not happen again?

BTW, the micro SD card and music files your using on FW2.0 are the same as the ones used on previous firmware?
