Thanks
@BIG POPPA, very fun meet for visiting, listening, and exploring new stuff! And hey, Gabe is growing! Monthly!
** The PurpAmp - very relaxed presentation, yet detailed and transparent. No roll off anywhere. Differences between cans are very apparent, but not an “analytical sound”. Draws me in. A real accomplishment,
@johnjen.
** Heddphone - Allen Toussaint’s piano was in room. Patricia Barber sibilance test showed up as completely natural. The “weight whiners” must have weak necks; for me it was nicely distributed and comfy. I’ll hold off on calling it a “staggering” value, however. Senn’s 800/800S, also under $2k, has been successfully playing in the $3k -$6k sandbox for years.
** Meze Empyrean - seemed slightly warmer than the Hedd and Senn, but missed nothing. Opus 7’s massed voices were perfectly rendered, taking me back to hearing them in the Cathedral.

@Muziqboy, are your 800 jmods also? Very nice listen to your rig again. Especially enjoyed the very solid LOW bass foundation ONLY when low bass was actually present in the music. Not fat, not bombastic.

@atomicbob, the open backed cans are signing a petition to have the Stellia banned. “Not fair” to immediately isolate the listener from so much ambient noise, yet still have wide open, natural transparency.
