I have iPod video 5th gen 60gb and I am going to replace its hard drive.
Which is the best choice from 128gb SSD's?

The 128GB Super Talent ZT2 I have in mine has worked flawlessly.

Got an iPod 7G and am thinking about installing a 128G SSD on it... Anyone knows if iTunes will recognize it after the mod? I heard the newer iTunes kinda checks the capacity of the drive and the model, and if they don't match, you won't be able to sync content?

The mother board died on my 5.5G so now I have to open up my 7G.

If you have the 80GB 6G, it should work.  If you have the 160GB, it won't.

My 7G doesn't recognize a Runcore 32GB SSD (rated as 3.3V +/-5%) which works just fine with my iPod 5G.
I am puzzled...

EDIT: Can't even put it into disk mode

I have both a 5G 30GB iPod and an 80GB 5.5G iMod. The 5G needs a new battery, and I was considering a HDD upgrade while I was in there. I hadn't considered a SSD option, I will definitely be looking into this as soon as I rebuild my bank account (Just bought Denon AH-D5000 phones and a Millett MiniMAX kit).

Yeah, get a Toshiba 256GB 1.8 HDD with around 110 only.

So will this work in a 5.5G iPod 30GB?

I pick this up in the near future if it will. I also am wondering if the HDD from my iPod Classic (Stock 160 GB) will fit in my 5.5G iPod (and work)

The 160G HDD fits and works in my 5G iPod. I suppose the 5.5G is all not that different from the 5G?
