Thanks for the links, The JazzyH.

Speaking of jazz; I noticed we have some electronic, some rock, some metal, some folk and some classical in this thread, but really nothing in a jazz vein. I went looking around and I came up with this:

Janek Gwizdala - It Only Happens Once

It might be described as having some elements of jazz at least. Maybe it could be called "trippy jazz" or something. Anyway, give it a listen and see what you think.

The entire album can be downloaded for free in FLAC or other formats here:

How about a free FLAC Grateful Dead show?

I've been enjoying a concert recorded November 29, 1980 at the Alligator Alley Gym, at the University Of Florida.

Apparently this was recorded with two Beyer mics placed on poles near the soundboard, so it is an audience recording. I like it because it has a nice mix of crowd noise and the music. It may not be as clean as a soundboard recording, but there is just enough crowd noise to make it seem like you are there.

The full concert runs 2:52:11. To download the full concert in FLAC, click on the "Lossless zip" link on the left side of the page. Be forewarned, the download is 945 MB, but once it's finished, you'll have a lot of listening to do.

Here's the link:

I'm diggin' this one from ektoplazm.com:

Soulacybin - Self-Existing Earth

It's Psy Dub. I like it because it retains some characteristics of traditional Jamaican Dub but mixes that with electronica. There are some heavy bass lines and real guitars. It's available for free in MP3, FLAC, and WAV.
