Mine is almost 2 years old and I'm still using it as my main portable IEM. It's surprising how well they scale with better amplifiers as I don't hear that recessed midrange everyone seems to be complaining about when I drive it with my DIY y2 and SOUL Mini amplifier. Granted, I need to EQ the midrange a bit when using my Sony DAP. It's still doing a fine job for beater outdoor use and I'm not going to be replacing it anytime soon.

I'd say go for newer stuff. The C120M or C120MA, depends if you want mic and controls, can be had for $50 as well.

A Google search gives me two sellers of old C700's. Eardio for $30 and one on ebay for $26. Why pay more?? Though buy the one, if you decide, that has the most buyer protection. You'll just be out your time but get your money back. As usual, do your homework to make the safest choice.

Aloha. I have the C700's and absolutely adore them. I listen mainly to classic rock and love the overall smooth sound of the C700, however I got some money burning in my pocket (about $75). Was thinking of getting the VSONIC VSD5 or the JVC HA-FXT90.  I know these two have a slightly different sound signatures, with the VSD5's being more analytical and bright, (was thinking of getting the Klipsch Oval tips to tame the highs) and the HA-FXT90's being semi close-ish, but more of a fun sound. Are these earbuds an upgrade, downgrade, or side-grade from the C700? I don't want to buy either of those two and be totally disappointed as compared to the C700. The VSD5's are about $70 from Amazon and the HA-FXT90's are about $42 on Ebay.

Also, my C700's need new tips soon. Didn't read all 95 pages of this thread, but what are some good tips for these? Using stock tips now.

New old stock on eBay for $17.80 shipped. I bought a pair and they arrived in California in 9 days. They do not appear in any way to be fake nor is the sound different from what I recall 10 years ago when I last owned them.
