I have a wired gigabit internet connection at my university and am experiencing stuttering and pauses in between tracks and sometimes right in the middle of tracks using Tidal HIFI (Problem persists at normal and high quality). In addition, there is a persistent bar at the top of the Tidal app saying "Could not connect to streaming server. Check your internet connection" which is odd considering how excellent my internet connection is (which never drops VOIP calls or high definition video content). The most unusual part is, this same windows device performs flawlessly at my home which has a substantially slower connection. Have other Tidal HIFI users experienced similar issues? Should I attempt streaming through a VPN?

I have exactly the same problem and had it fixed connecting through vpn to an American server (I live in Italy)... It's just non sense though. There must be a more elegant solution to this right?
Any ideas?

There is one elegant solution that I have found; that being buying CD's/Flac downloads and cancelling your subscription. Having to pay $20 a month and then an additional $10 a month for a VPN service just so that the already expensive streaming service even functions properly is completely and utterly absurd. Video streaming services that transfer far larger quantities of data work flawlessly for me, there's no reason Tidal should be having issues.
