Once in awhile I have a get together with other semi-talented musicians. During our last session we stumbled onto a combination of sounds that just seemed to work, The instruments used were:

Native American Flute
Sauw - 2 string played with bow (Thailand)
Singing Bowl (Tibet)
Digereedoo (Australia) (filled in the bottom end!)
Rainstick

No pics or recordings here but share yours.. Thanks

The Music Tapes use an interesting variety of instruments. They actually have a song entitled "Saw, ping-pong and orchestra" which I guess speaks for itself.

Not exactly sure what else they use but it`s quite haunting and beautiful. They also use a variety of vintage recording techniques (hand-held tape recorder, wire recorder [though I don`t know what that is - quoting pitchfork here], and a record lathe). Quite an interesting listen.

If anyone else knows more about their instrumental repertoire, I`d love to know.
