torn between the fiio m9 and the ibasso dx120 right now, m9 seems to have more functionality, but if the dx120 have a better sq I would choose it over the extra functions. However some reviews states some negative reviews on the dx120 (amazon) specifically on the navigation and reboots. does the recent firmware update fixed it already?

edit: just read some reviews of the m9..oof, looks like its out of my options already.

don't ignore fiio just yet, they release lots of products doesn't mean all of them gonna be great.
so far it seems fiio M11 is the best bang to buck for flagship player, its even better than ibasso dx220...and its only 450$!
as for shanling, M2X seems like a good player for 200$.

Do you know what shanling product that could rival ibasso dx120 soundwise?
Nope, never heard ibasso stuff. Only shanling I have is the m0 which is fine for the price. Guess you would be looking at the m2s and up really (and that is just a guess).

The Plenue D2 is an amazing sounding device with it's BBE and EQ and DSP sound features. Best bass I've heard in a DAP. Only problem is, it's really only a player (no usb to computer DAC or apps or Wi-fi or bluetooth). The other downside is it's clunky UI. But if you can get past that, it's amazing sounding. There's a thread for it, if it's worth your while.

Anyone tried the F.Audio FA3?
Doesn't seem like it, but I think most of us are very reluctant to invest $200+ into an f. Audio product, the fa1 had clicking noise issue, the fa2 has a 10 dB bass roll off and so do there xs02-03, actually it seems all there players have a bass roll off.........

I just noticed it was out. Judging just by the looks, it seems a new revision of the FA2. My FA2 never really worked, as it did not read microSD cards correctly and had a bad habit of messing the partitions, so I hope they did better with the FA3.

I did mine so long ago that I cannot remember anything but if you read through the Ruizu thread there is more info ... and many pages back in this one if you do a search... which is what I would have to do in order to be able to help.

Ruizu never seemed to support the A50. It didn't show up on their own website when it was being heavily promoted on Aliexpress, there's no listing on their own website for any support even now. I emailed them last year, and never got a response. The hardware has such promise, it's too bad the software has so few features implemented.
