Obscure Chinese DAPs

Pretty sure it's an S10 Max. "Rugged" style phone, which I chose for the better battery capacity. No 3.5mm jack. Used an iBasso and a Fiio dongle with it without issues. Even an E1DA Powerdac.

If I had more offline files something fun would be to use e.g. Neutron Player and tweak the dongle's performance, although you're limited by the phone's processing power.
Now there is only s10 pro max model. Expensive quite a bit if compared to budget offering from established Chinese smartphone company. But getting cheaper model ususally lesser battery life.

This does have speaker like most smrtphone right?

How is it now that you have them for quite some time? How is the battery life? Does it also have speaker?
I'm loving it. I mean it's a $30 dap, so I wouldn't expect too much. It's taken over my old but still kicking Cowon D2+. But if you want a cheap Android player then this might work.

The battery life is fair. Offline I get probably around between 15-20 hours. And I'm judging this by how I let it play all night long(8 to 10 hours a night). I'd I go to bed with a full charge I'll wake up with about 30% depleted.

I can't give you an accurate online life right now. Let me play Spotify all night tonight on a full charge and I'll let you know what I wake up with. I'm guessing after an 8 hour sleep there won't be that much left.

And it does have a speaker.

But all in all I'm happy with it. I'll post back tomorrow.

Ok I ran Spotify all night. About 8 hours on a full charge and I woke up with about 40% left. Which I think is pretty good.

However the back of the dap was a bit warm. Not warm enough to raise an alarm but I had to mention it. I'm gonna do it again tonight without the case and see if there is still warmth. Probably will be. Streaming for 8 hours I think is gonna make most dap's warm.

Thanks for your experiment. It seems good enough for my case. Only cons is it cannot use USB DAC.

Yes I have, it is laggy and not worth it in my opinion. I tried it with several USB DAC Amps and sent it back. There are better options. I would also suggest to at least get something with 3gb of ram and 32gb of storage then expect to use a SD card for storage .

My Dap ran out of juice, so today I exhumed the old Dodocool D106 from the draw (note, battery kept the charge for more than a year!). Well, I can't say if there is any difference, and even so there's no better sound one here, just small differences, versus a device that cost 10 times more, what we need a chip processes 1000+ khz for?
[earbuds: Fiio FF3s and Tgxear Desolation Sound]

What sort of files are you using with it? If it's MP3, anything will do, the amp stage is more important then the chip, we are very good at MP3, it's still the most commonly used format. If it's flac at higher resolutions or DSD, you need processing power, just the blunt fact.
