Just tried the newest firmware 1.0.0.3 on L5,  better female vocal and much MUCH better touch screen experience. Guess they are working overtime lol!

Good to hear that, John. Any new discovery? Battery life etc? Mine got delivered yesterday but I won't be home for another month to unbox it.

Hello,JohnYang, zeissiez! Could you please tell if you compared L5 with any other DAPs? How are the bass and treble on L5? Have you guys compared L5's line out and headphone out? Thanks  for any info and impressions:)

Ii have compared the L5 to LP5 silver, DX90, N6, X5, AK100 II. I would rank the SQ in the following order: LP5>L5>N6>AK100 II>X5>DX90. L5 has good treble extension, the bass is good too. There's nothing much in the sound that is not good.

Thank you! I'm just a bit curious how the Luxury&Precision made L5 run for 12 hours on one battery charge, while more than 90% of "hi-fi" DAPs can score some 9-7 hours with rare exceptions (FiiO X5, as far as I know). Could you tell what kind of music recordings (or genres) and what headphones you used for the DAPs comparison?
And I still can't figure out the type of volume adjustment mechanism implemented in L5

Is the volume adjusted via analog ALPS potentiometer or via a separate chip CS3310?

My L5 does no artwork, nor does it change play order and built q is ok but not great, i think i will send it back.
Sound is up there with anything up to Paw and AK240, but nothing to shout home about.
It is a tough sell despite the not bad price, but is a very mediocre presentation in general with serious bugs and no proper website.
Can not recommend, i am sorry.

Up to AK240? I am not sure what you mean. Can you elaborate a bit?

Better than N6 is a good news!

Sound is good, almost up there with the very best and expensive daps, but lacks that last bit of refinment imo.
This is not such good news in my book, i am waiting for some obscure company to surprise, not play catch up with the big boys for a pity share of our cash.
Problems lie in the whole presentation, very cheap looking and semi-DIY feel about it, no real support and very obscure future.
